Barr Farm
Barr Farm is located in the conservation village of Old Malton in North Yorkshire. It is a working farm. We breed pedigree Highland Cattle from our fold – The Doodale Highlanders. In 2014 we opened our farm based holiday cottage – Doodale Cottage.
Doodale Cottage
Doodale cottage is a spacious grade II listed barn conversion. Sleeping two, it is an ideal all year round base for couples wishing to stay on a farm and explore the many attractions of North Yorkshire. Doodale cottage is located mid way between York and the coast, close to the beautiful North York Moors, Yorkshire Wolds and Castle Howard.
Although we are a working farm, we are not remote. We are lucky to have two pubs serving delicious food within 400 yards.
Doodale Highlanders
At Barr Farm we have 30 pedigree highland cattle ranging in age from calves born this year to 15 year old cows. Each year our mature cows give birth to calves.
Old Malton Highland Beef
We produce quality grass fed, rare breed, traditional highland beef, which we sell direct from the farm.
It is a wonderful place to live and work.
